“…And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8b NIV)

On Wednesday nights, our church has been slowly working our way through the book of Acts. Caught in the period of time between when Jesus ascended into heaven and His return, this book is still being written. During this crucial time, Jesus gave His disciples a mission: to be His witnesses to the world.

My mission, should I choose to accept, is to be a witness or an ambassador. To announce that a life-transforming, history-changing event occurred and that there is a new King in charge. To tell others what I know of Jesus and His power working in my life. To represent God’s Kingdom by the way I live and love. To explain our beliefs, values, and traditions to any that are interested. To be “the face of another place” in the middle of a materialistic culture.

I’m on a journey of faith. Part of that journey is learning what it means to be an accurate representative of my homeland. And then living it out on a day to day basis even in the middle of my chaotic schedule.

What about you? Are you on a faith journey? What Kingdom do you represent? How?

    >I am definitely on a faith journey with my precious Heavenly Father. I pray I honor HIM in all I say and do…though I know I am still a work in progress and fail HIM along the way. I am thankful He picks me up, dusts me off, and sets me back on the course HE has called me too.

    >Yes, I'm on a faith journey, and I'm thankful to be led by our Heavenly Father. I think many people can see the God in me, and will want to know Him, too.
