20131024-213457.jpgIn addition to my Bible and a stack of legal depositions for my day job, I’m reading:

Not a Fan: Becoming a Completely Committed Follower of Jesus by Kyle Idleman – The prologue already contains a blunt assessment that some people followed Jesus around Galilee in hopes of a free lunch. I have a feeling reading this book may be necessarily uncomfortable at times.

All In: You Are One Decision Away From a Totally Different Life by Mark Batterson – I’ve enjoyed several books by this author already and think this latest release will be a great follow-up to the previous one about following Christ.

Critical Care by Candace Calvert – I enjoy this author’s blend of medicine, suspense, and romance woven through the fast-paced setting of an emergency room. Reading one of her books always makes my crazy life feel calmer in comparison.

Scattered Petals by Amanda Cabot – I enjoyed the first book in the series but never got around to reading more. Since I know the author, I’m looking forward to a step back in time and a heart-warming romance.

What about you? What are you reading? Are you reading for entertainment, knowledge, or both? Do you read more fiction or more non-fiction?
