It seems there’s a bit of excitement brewing here at The Wardrobe Dinner Theatre. That nice girl in the box office–Liz–filled us in on a bit, but then I overheard the owner say he was holding a full cast meeting to discuss the robbery with everyone. Wish I could eavesdrop…Oh, wait. That’s part of Dance Over Me. (Aren’t I a devious author to tease you with stories like that…)

Anyhow, maybe we can pick up some of the local gossip at that coffee shop on the corner. (A few minutes later, I’ve got my hot chocolate and find a chair between a businessman typing on his computer and a friendly-looking cowboy with wide shoulders scrolling through pictures on his phone.)

Pardon me, ma’am. Are you from around here?

I am.

(The cowboy offers a crooked grin.) My name’s Ryan by the way.

Nice to meet you.

I’m wondering what types of social events you have going on in town that might need photographers.

So, you’re looking for work?

Just temporarily for while I’m in town helping my sister out with her kids. I normally do freelance work for Bricker Communications Group.

Don’t they own a ton of magazines?

That’s them. (Nods with another grin.) But around here I’m just another guy with a camera who’s looking for a way to make a few bucks. At least until my brother-in-law’s deployment ends.

Let me think. There’s the college in town with lots of athletic events, holiday concerts, and maybe even a drama production. Downtown Fort Collins has a few concert venues and–(A police car drives by with flashing lights.)

Wow. Wonder where they’re going?

(I recall my talk with Liz.) Hmm. Could be headed to or maybe from The Wardrobe Dinner Theatre up the road.

Dinner theater? Sounds fancy.

It can be, especially heading into the Holidays. They’re getting ready to do White Christmas like every year.

My mom loved that show. (Strokes his chin) That gives me an idea. (Nods and stands.) Thanks for your time, ma’am.

(I watch him don his Stetson and head for the door.) I wonder what kind of pictures a theater might need. Guess we’ll have to wait until Focus On Love to find out. But the good news is that the book releases tomorrow!

Loved Focus on Love. How long must I wait for “Sing A New Song” ? I’m excited to see if Gloria can ever find love, joy and peace… After some twists and turns no doubt!

Still waiting for a publication date for the finished manuscript, but it’ll be worth the wait!
